Cardiff by the Sea
Tub to shower conversion in Cardiff by the Sea
Cardiff by the Sea is the southern coastal community of Encinitas. Older houses near the beach have small baths. Some bluff lots have an extra planning overlay.
This is an independent referral guide. It connects homeowners with independent providers and may receive compensation. It is not a licensed contractor and it does not do the work.
Beach air and a possible overlay
A conversion near the sand still needs a real pan. If the house is in the Coastal Bluff Overlay, do not assume the interior work is exempt from a coastal development permit. Ask the city with the address.
Houses a few blocks up the hill can be ordinary Encinitas building permits without that overlay. The community name alone does not decide it.
Describe the bath
Say Leucadia, Cardiff, Olivenhain, or New Encinitas, and whether you want a curb.
